Devoted fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who leaped a barricade and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the Australian man pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was set to appear on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account features clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several fans accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another message on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others called for digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had congregated in a sea of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The movie, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-film interpretation of the acclaimed theatrical production Wicked, which centers on the unlikely bond between two distinct sorceresses.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of last year in the UK, and received a dozen award recognitions, securing a pair for best costume and production design.
