Across the intensely contested arena of interactive entertainment, it's usual for emerging rivals to disappear as swiftly as they enter the landscape.

However the latest Battlefield is hoping to alter that.

Here comes the newest release in a long-standing combat FPS series often described as a more authentic answer to Call of Duty.

The title has seldom managed to rival its most famous opponent in terms of revenue or user base, but evidence points to the latest version could reduce the distance.

A preview event allowing users a chance to test the title earlier this year achieved milestones, and the buzz approaching its debut has been immense.

Yet the project is nonetheless a significant risk for publisher its creators, which has reportedly invested vast amounts of funds developing it.

We have spoken to a number of the makers to learn how they expect it will be profitable.

Development Team and Developer Partnership

Four studios are creating the project under the Battlefield Studios banner.

Building On Previous Shortcomings

"It's likely that we would find it impossible to build and design this new game lacking the learnings we gained in the last release," Rebecka explains to us.

A key those lessons was to get the community engaged from the start, and the developers initiated closed community testing sessions earlier this year.

The "feedback was explosively favorable," comments the manager.

Another omitted ingredient from the previous installment was a single-player campaign, which has been restored this time around.

The Guildford team project head the design director is the person responsible for "making sure those stages are as enjoyable and engaging as can be for the gamers."

Regardless of claims that the scale of the game had put a strain on the different studios partnering globally to create the game, Fas is upbeat about the process.

"Partnering with diverse perspectives, distinct experiences, it's a truly fascinating environment to be part of every day," he says.

"The complete strategy has been an innovation but additionally really thrilling because we are working with people from all over the world."

Regarding the expectation on the team, he says: "There is demand but at the same time it's motivating.

"It's a big venture. It's arguably the largest that the majority of the team have previously participated in."

Young Talent Contributes Fresh Insight
